Whether you choose to focus your studies by declaring a major, or customize your degree to meet your career goals, you'll learn the basic business disciplines of marketing, accounting, finance, business management and organizational behaviour. You'll also gain valuable IT skills as you learn to work with spreadsheet programs, database packages, and other software applications used in statistical analysis, financial projections, and market research.

Dalhousie offers one of the few accredited commerce co-op programs in Canada. The Commerce Co-op program is accredited by Co-operative Education and Work Integrated Learning (CEWIL) Canada for a six year period expiring December 2024. Achieving these accreditation standards ensures that the programs have a credible and valuable co-op educational strategy.

1. Completion of secondary school (Grade 12)
2. A minimum overall average of 70% in five academic Grade 12 courses*
3. A final grade of at least 70% in Grade 12 academic English and any other required subject (see list below)**
