Our graduate programs are capable of meeting the diverse intellectual needs of most students The programs emphasize faculty expertise and interest in three designated areas of departmental concentration An Advanced Issues course is offered every year in each of these departmental concentrations

The chief requirement of the program is a thesis carried out under faculty supervision. All students take the MA seminar and two elective courses, and complete an area essay examination.

While the program can be completed in one year, most students take 18-24 months.

• Four-year Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (B average) in the last 60 credit hours of study
• Degree granted by university of recognized standing
